Instructor, Salem County Out-of-School Youth Program

Under the direction of the Director of the Office of Continuing Studies, supports the recruitment of youth to the Salem County Out-of-School Youth Program; provides life and job skills instruction, and supports their acquisition of an industry recognized credential.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supports the recruitment of 10 eligible youth for training, work experience and employment
  • Provides training support
    • Prepares and teaches classes on job and life skills
    • Insures students' are enrolled in online certification programs and monitors their progress
  • Prepare progress and attendance reports
  • Oversees, in partnership with the instructor, participants successful progress through the program
  • Insures all paperwork is correctly completed and inaccordance with the specified timeline and provides all documentation as required by the funder

Minimum Requirements:

Experience working with marginalized youth with significant barriers to success

Ability to build relationships with youth to maximize their skills, interests, and needs leading to unsubsidized employment


Preferred Requirements:

Bachelor's degree preferred
