The Student Worker positions at Stockton University in the Coastal Research Center is a highly recognized internal resource with a passion for providing excellent customer service,  value to a dynamic campus population and will be a survey crew member for NJ oceanfront beach research team. We partner with the campus community to provide temporary student worker positions hired to assist university departments with semester based and short-term assignments.  Hiring is based upon a need for additional assistance at various times of the year. Stockton University will accept applications on a continual basis from qualified, current enrolled Stockton University students.  If you are interested in a student worker position, please submit your application and include within your letter of interest any departments you may be interested in working in. 

  • Survey crew member for NJ oceanfront beach research team
  • Be punctual and act professional.
  • Adhere to good job practices and cooperate with departmental procedures.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Ability to manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Red Cross Life Guard certification or PADI/NOUI dive certification or equivalent
  • Red Cross CPR training
  • Be punctual as a team member
  • Will be trained on survey methods and procedures
  • Duty start station is the Nacote Creek Field station so transport to the station is essential
  • Must be currently enrolled as a student at Stockton University
