This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position.

In alignment with the strategic priorities of the Division of Student Affairs and those of the University, Stockton seeks an individual with experience in event planning and fostering inclusive environments for diverse communities. The Coordinator of Student Life Programming works in the Office of Student Development supporting initiatives identified within the Engagement and Community Development strategic priority. This position plays a critical role in planning and executing events, administering budgets, advising student organizations, and providing oversight of yearbook production. Successful candidates should demonstrate passion and commitment to diversity and inclusive student success.

Under the immediate supervision of the Associate Director of Student Development, the Coordinator of Student Life Programming is responsible for the following:

  • Plan, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive series of in-person and virtual programs that enhance student life and promote engagement, including support of student led programs, weekend/late night programs, cultural celebrations, and service-learning events
  • Administer programming budgets and support student organizations by managing University purchasing and contracting processes
  • Assist in the planning and support of collaborative, University-wide programs including Welcome Week, Grad Send-Off, University Weekend, etc.
  • Serve as project manager for the yearbook, The Path, including student staffing, coordinating and advertising portrait sittings, and ensuring timely production and distribution
  • Assist with the management of the Office of Student Development and The Path yearbook websites and social media accounts
  • Serve as advisor to assigned student organizations
  • Provide on-site support for evening and weekend programs, as needed
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to measure learning outcomes and student satisfaction
  • Assist with the hiring, training, and supervision of student staff in collaboration with the Associate Director
  • Represent the Office of Student Development on various committees
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Associate Director, Director, and/or Assistant VP for Engagement and Community Development
  • Support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all of the following qualifications in order to be eligible for consideration:

  • Earned Master's Degree from an accredited institution by September 2021
    Experience with event planning in a higher education setting
  • Understanding of diversity and multicultural issues in a higher education setting

Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants demonstrating the following qualifications will be given preference:

  • Earned Master's Degree in Higher Education/Student Affairs from an accredited institution by September 2021
  • Experience with fiscal matters related to contracting and purchasing
  • Experience with marketing or graphic design
  • Experience advising student organizations
