This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position.

Stockton University seeks applications for a 12-month professional staff position in the Nursing program to be appointed at the level of Academic Fieldwork Coordinator.

The nursing program serves over 215 students and is composed of a four-year pre licensure BSN program, a 15-month accelerated BSN program, a MSN program focused on adult gerontology primary care, two post NP masters certificate programs, and a BSN to DNP and post-MSN DNP program. Programs are located at the Manahawkin Instructional Site and the Galloway campus.

Under the direction of the Associate Dean of Nursing, the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator will serve in the following ways at Stockton University:

  • Manage administrative and data management tasks for student clinical placements
  • Collaborate with program faculty on aligning clinical placements according to course requirements and accreditation standards
  • Act as a clinical liaison between nursing program faculty and clinical site personnel
  • Coordinate and arrange clinical sites for student placement for both graduate and undergraduate students
  • Assist faculty to track resources and requirements for student and faculty clinical and lab experiences
  • Cultivate and expand clinical site resources
  • Interact and collaborate with fieldwork coordinators in other disciplines in meetings, conferences and other interprofessional events
  • Collaborate with University contract/legal staff and serve as the affiliation agreement liaison between the University and clinical nursing placement sites
  • Participate in Nursing Program, assessment/outcomes, and curriculum meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Chairs, Associate Dean for Nursing, Dean of the School of Health Sciences, and the Provost and Vice President

Required Qualifications:

  • Licensed in the state of NJ as registered nurse
  • BSN degree
  • Minimum of three years’ clinical nursing practice experience or similar experience
  • Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office and database management
  • Demonstrate knowledge of networking and organizational structure of healthcare systems and facilities
  • Demonstrate ability to outreach and engage with clinical partners
  • Demonstrate excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge or experience of the needs of nurse practitioner students in clinical placements.
  • Demonstrate through past accomplishments and actions the ability to support Stockton University’s diversity commitment and strong student-centered vision and mission
  • Knowledge of rules and regulations in accordance with FERPA laws and HIPPA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MSN degree                                                                                                    
  • Three or more years of clinical nursing practice experience or similar healthcare experience
