The Vera King Farris Fellowship is a pipeline-building fellowship program for graduate students who have completed all requirements for their doctoral degree except the dissertation (ABD). This fellowship program is designed to introduce Stockton University to early-career doctoral students, particularly from groups who are underrepresented in their fields, and provide them with mentorship and support. Successful applicants are awarded a salary commensurate with their field of study and ABD status, access to professional development funds equal to tenure track faculty, and a mentor for guidance. During the fellowship, applicants are reviewed through an evaluation process guided by the tenure and promotion process.
