This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position.

The Associate Director of Production Services supports the Director of Production Services with day-to-day operations, implementation and supervision of complex technical operations including special events. Under the direction of the Director, the Associate Director schedules and supervises staff in support of events and video production services.

  • Assist the Director of Production Services with the day-to-day operations
  • Lead the team of employees under the direction of the Director to meet goals and objectives of the department
  • Assist Director with overall design, implementation and supervise complex technical operations for Production Services, production facilities and emerging technologies
  • Assist in the formation of long-range planning for the integration of emerging technologies
  • Assist the Director of Production Services in the formulation of departmental objectives
  • In consultation with Director, oversee all technical operations for Production Services, including special events
  • Oversee the plan and execution of events supported by Production Services and act as primary lead for Information Technology Services at events as required
  • Assign and direct staff at events supported by Production Services to meet the technical requirements of the program
  • Supervise technical staff, including implementation of training activities and appropriate Performance Evaluation System
  • Communicate with Stockton Community for technical support, production needs, and special events
  • In a timely and courteous manner, responds to requests and reviews feasibility with Director of Production Services on a case-by-case basis
  • Represents Information Technology Services at University meetings as required
  • Act as a member of the Information Technology Management Team
  • Works alongside the other Information Technology Services management team to ensure projects and events are properly scheduled, planned, and executed to the fullest extent possible
  • Required to move heavy audio/video equipment.   Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 5 years’ experience with operating live audio/video production equipment including complex streaming configurations in a higher education environment and leading a team in a production and creative services environment
  • Must be knowledgeable on modern audio video equipment and capabilities
  • Must have experience conducting employee review and giving constructive feedback
  • Must be able to make decisions independently
  • Must be available to work weekends as necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using FinalCutPro, Blackmagic Design software, 25Live scheduling software and experience using state ePar system software
