Stockton University, Division of Student Affairs, Office of Athletics and Recreation seeks an Associate Director of Compliance and Student-Athlete Success to support its strategies to promote inclusive student success.

Reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreation, the Associate Director of Athletic Compliance and Student-Athlete Success will provide leadership for all NCAA compliance operations, will serve as the department Title IX Officer, overseeing requisite trainings for coaches and staff, and assist the Director with the overall operations of the Office of Athletics and Recreation. 

The Associate Director, in partnership with University offices, will support a commitment to diversity and a strong student-centered vision/mission.

  • Oversee all compliance operations in accordance with NCAA regulations and requirements.  Certify student-athlete eligibility status and ensure that the intercollegiate sports programs adhere to NCAA and NJAC rules
  • Coordinate game officials for all NCAA contests including confirmation of dates and times
  • Serve as Athletics liaison to University partners to support student enrollment, transitions, retention, and post-graduate success
  • Assist with scheduling of NCAA contests and practices for all NCAA programs, assist with recruiting activities oversight, academics, registration, athlete/coach awards and banquet
  • Serve as Game Administrator for select home events
  • Supervise professional staff as assigned by the Director of Athletics
  • Lead Athletics and Recreation strategies to support student citizenship and wellbeing Serve as point of contact for student-athlete conduct, well-being and support on behalf of Office of Athletics and Recreation. Educate Athletics and Recreation staff regarding student conduct policies, procedures, and supportive resources
  • Serve as the Title IX Officer for Athletics, conducting requisite training for athletic staff and student-athletes and working with the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity and the Office of Student Rights and Responsibility on issues and incidents as needed
  • Assist the Office of Athletics & Recreation in strategic planning and the development of policies and procedures
  • Serve as advisor to University chapter of Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and assist in student-athlete life skills development and community service projects
  • Attend annual NCAA Convention as well as mandatory attendance at NCAA Regional Rules seminars as required by the NCAA
  • Support the Athletics & Recreation vision, mission and values and work toward the achievement of identified departmental goals; foster cooperative and supportive working relationships with the staff in the department and contribute to a positive working environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in intercollegiate athletic administration
  • Prior full-time experience implementing NCAA/conference regulations, policies, and compliance requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Sports Administration or a related field
  • Previous college coaching experience
  • Effective communication, presentation, discussion, and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive student success
