The Office of Human Resources at Stockton University is seeking a Professional Services Specialist 4. Adm NE (PSS4) to provide administrative support for Talent Acquisition and Labor Relations.  The PSS4 will also assist with the front office operations within the Office of Human Resources. 

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of Human Resources
  • Order and track background checks
  • Conduct CWA union and AFT union reclassification desk audits and prepare recommendations  
  • Maintains essential records and files
  • Assists with I-9 verifications 
  • Assist with answering main OHR phone line and walk-ins
  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining Employment and TES email 
  • Assist with New Hire Orientation 
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with other staff and areas whose functions impart on assigned responsibilities 
  • May be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units 
  • Other duties as assigned 
  • Graduated from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree
  • 1 year experience in Human Resources 
  • Ability to communicate efficiently, work in a fast-paced environment, and multi-task 
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Civil Service regulations 
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Experience with on-boarding processes (I-9 verification and background checks) 
  • Knowledge of Labor Laws and Collective Bargaining Units

  • Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute experience on a year for year basis
