Stockton is seeking a Professional Service Specialist 4 (PSS4) for the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. The ideal candidate for this position is highly organized, detail oriented and able to prioritize multiple ongoing tasks.

This is an in-person on campus, non-remote position.

Successful candidates will be required to show proof of being “up-to-date” with their COVID-19 vaccine status prior to their start date.  Religious or Medical waivers may be requested at the time of employment offer.

  • Assist Executive Director (ED) of Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) in implementing and adhering to all policies and programs, registrations/assurances, trainings, and reporting requirements for compliance.
  • Act as a liaison for university faculty, staff, administrators, and legal counsel to interpret and resolve research compliance issues.
  • Assist the Executive Director with the oversight of the university research misconduct policy, procedures, and investigations.
  • Provide assistance implementing and adhering to all Institutional Review Board (IRB) policies and procedures
  • Serve as liaison to IRB and assist faculty/principal investigators seeking IRB approval for projects/research
  • Assist ED with maintaining compliance with federal, state and institutional guidelines, policies and procedures on research
  • Assist ED with oversight of all Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) policies and procedures related to research at the institution, and ensure institutional compliance with internal, federal and state guidelines/regulations on animal use in research and education
  • Contribute to/author any ORSP-related internal documentation regarding policies, procedures and guidelines related to research and research compliance
  • Assist with all departmental and F&A budgets within the ORSP, as well as purchase cards and related materials and processes
  • Provide support to other administrative staff across the office in terms of pre- and post-award procedures, database and file maintenance, grant management, internal awards, prospect research, external and internal correspondence, and office-led events, programs and initiatives as needed
  • Author cover letters and other supplemental documentation for proposal submissions and post-award stewardship
  • Responsible for special projects as assigned. Performs other related jobs as required.
